This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit gigastar.io (the “Site”).

GIGASTAR PRIVACY POLICY

  • We do NOT sell your personal data.
  • We do NOT share your personal data beyond vendors that assist us in storing or processing data for the purposes of analytics or for servicing customer accounts.

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or services that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

When you sign up for services or attempt to sign up for services through the Site, or voluntarily submit information through a form on the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Personal Information that we collect generally to fulfill services placed through the Site. Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

We also use HubSpot as our primary tool for CRM and marketing management system for marketing communications, marketing insight, and customer relationship management purposes. Additional tools may be employed.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful requests for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

BEHAVIORAL ADVERTISING

As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you sign up for services through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

DATA RETENTION

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.

Google API Access and Data

GigaStar requires YouTube Creators utilizing GigaStar’s services to grant read-only access to their channel(s) via Google's API to enable certain functionalities. This access is limited to the specific data outlined below and adheres to Google’s API policies.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect the following data from the YouTube channels:

  • Account Information: This includes details such as the channel name, channel ID, and any other available information associated with the channel.
  • Consolidated Channel Metrics: We collect performance-related metrics such as views, subscriber count, estimated revenue, and other related statistics.

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

The data we collect will be used exclusively for the following purposes:

  1. Revenue Distribution: To verify and facilitate the monthly distribution of revenue to the channel’s investors.
  2. Business Intelligence: To create internal reports tracking the health and performance of the channel for operational purposes.
  3. Investor Transparency: To provide investors with accurate information about the performance and revenue of the channel they’ve invested in.

DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

GigaStar takes data security seriously and stores all collected data using cloud-based infrastructure with encryption-at-rest standards. Data is accessible only through GigaStar’s internal tools and is not publicly available or accessible to unauthorized users.

DATA SHARING

GigaStar will only share the collected data metrics with its affiliates as per the agreements signed between the Creator and GigaStar. We will never share, sell, or rent any of your data to third parties without explicit consent.

DATA RETENTION

We will retain your data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in our agreement with you. Specifically:

  • Data will be retained for the duration of the agreement between GigaStar and the YouTube Creator.
  • Following the termination of the agreement, data will be retained for an additional 12 months for record-keeping and auditing purposes, after which it will be securely deleted.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. This policy was last updated on October 2, 2024.
